The target species for which Bhutan is best known is Black-necked Crane Grusnigricollis wintering in the temperate Phobjikha valley highland marshes and several of the other species just as hard to find worldwide, such as Rufous-necked Hornbill Aceros nipalensis, White-bellied Heron Ardea insignis and the Beautiful Nuthatch .
